My Farmers Market Planner Privacy Policy

My Farmers Market is a recipe costing, pantry, farmers market planning, and business recordkeeping app for food vendors and home bakers. The app is designed to store your main workspace locally on your device, with optional export/import and optional AI-powered workflows. This Privacy Policy applies to the My Farmers Market Planner iOS app and related app support pages.

Depending on how you use the app, My Farmers Market may process information you enter such as recipes, pantry items, ingredient costs, package ingredients, recipe photos, market profiles, market guideline links, sales sessions, leftover inventory, revenue, expenses, owner time logs, cottage food label/application details, business logo images, and notes.

Market AI is optional. Before the first request to each destination, the app shows who will receive your data and asks for your permission; it asks again if you change the destination. If you decline, nothing is sent and the rest of the app works as usual. You can withdraw your permission at any time with Settings › Unlock & AI › Reset AI Permissions; Market AI then asks again before its next request. Each request can include your question and recent conversation, your workspace (recipes and ingredients, pantry items and costs, markets and market sessions, sales and leftovers, expenses, time log, revenue, business settings), cottage-food application details such as your name, business address and permit number, photos or PDFs you attach, and text from web links you include. By default it goes to My Farmers Market AI; you can choose another destination in Settings › Unlock & AI › Advanced: Your Own AI Provider:

My Farmers Market AI (credits). Requests go through My Farmers Market’s Cloudflare Worker, which passes them to OpenAI to generate the answer. The OpenAI API key is stored only on the server. We don’t keep your workspace or questions after answering; OpenAI processes them under its API data policy.

Your own OpenAI or Anthropic key. Requests go directly from your iPhone to OpenAI or Anthropic under your own account and their terms. Your key is stored only in your iPhone’s Keychain and is never sent to us or included in exports. Our servers are not involved in these requests.

AI on your own network. Requests go directly from your iPhone to the server address you enter. If that is a private address on your network, the data stays on your network. We do not operate or see that server.

If you scan or manually enter a barcode, the app may query a product information service to retrieve product name, package quantity, brand, and ingredient details. You enter the purchase price yourself.

Purchases are processed by Apple. We never receive your payment card or Apple ID. To add AI credits you buy, the app creates a random account identifier for this install (not linked to your name, email or Apple ID) and attaches it to purchases.

What our server keeps, and for how long:

• Credit account (for the random account identifier): your credit balance and refund adjustments, and a counter of AI requests in the current hour and, for test purchases, the current month. Kept while the account exists; contact us to delete it.
• Purchase records: for each purchase credited, the Apple transaction IDs, product, date and environment, plus Apple refund notices. Kept indefinitely so a purchase is never credited twice and refunds can be applied.
• Network address: for security and to prevent abuse of free AI, the server keeps a salted one-way hash of your network (your IPv4 address, or the first half of an IPv6 address) in daily counters, not the address itself. Each record is deleted 30 hours after it is created and is not linked to your account identifier.
• Older app versions (1.0 and 1.1): a random install ID with the number of free AI prompts used, deleted 400 days after it was created (for counts made before version 1.2.0, 400 days after their last update before 1.2.0); without an install ID, the hashed network above is used instead and deleted 30 hours after it is created. Pro subscribers’ AI usage is counted under their Apple subscription’s original transaction ID: an hourly counter deleted after 2 hours and a monthly total deleted 14 days after the month ends.

Records created before version 1.2.0 that held a network address (free-prompt counts kept under the address for up to 400 days) are deleted the next time that network uses Market AI (a check on October 26, 2026 found none remaining); older hourly and monthly usage counters are removed the next time the account is used.

We use this data only to provide credits, the Unlock and AI requests, and to prevent abuse. We do not use it for advertising or tracking. In the App Store privacy details it appears as Purchase History, User ID and Other Data, used for App Functionality, not linked to you and not used for tracking.

Your workspace is stored locally on your device. If you export a JSON, CSV, or text file, you control where that file is saved or shared. If you import a backup file, imported purchase and free-tier fields are ignored; Apple purchase status remains the source of truth for the Unlock.

If you use iCloud or device backups, Apple handles those backups according to your Apple settings and Apple’s own privacy terms.

You can delete your local app data by deleting the app or with Settings › Clear Data. Exports and backups you made are outside the app and are not removed by either; delete them where you saved them.

If you added your own OpenAI or Anthropic key, it is held in your iPhone’s Keychain. You can remove it in Settings › Unlock & AI › Advanced: Your Own AI Provider. Remove it there before deleting the app, because iOS may keep Keychain items after an app is deleted.

The random credit account identifier cannot identify you. To ask about the records kept for it, contact us using the details below.

My Farmers Market does not sell your personal information and is not designed to track you across third-party apps or websites for advertising.

My Farmers Market uses reasonable technical safeguards. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure. Do not enter passwords, API keys, private credentials, or other secrets into recipe, pantry, market, or AI fields.

My Farmers Market is intended for adults and business owners. It is not directed to children under 13.
